Home made sweet & sour sauce SS-9.RCP *********************************************************************** It makes about 3 cups.It will stay good in the fridge for about 3 or 4 days. 1 (8.00 ounces) can crushed pineapple 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 (14.50 ounces) can diced tomatoes, undrained 1/2 cup vinegar 1/2 cup chopped onions 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1 tablespoon cornstarch 1. Drain Pineapple. 2. Reserve juice from pineapple. 3. In a medium saucepan,combine sugar, can of tomatoes, onion, soy sauce, ginger,and pineapple. 4. Simmer for 20 minutes. 5.In a small bowl,combine cornstarch& reserved pineapple juice. 6. Stir till smooth. 7. Add to the cooked pineapple mixture when mixture is done cooking. 8. Bring to a boil and cook for about 2 minutes or utill slightly thickened, Remove from heat and cool. 9.refrigerate utill cold.
