       Divination is the use of obtaining secret knowledge from the use of
       tools that tap into the spiritual realm. The tools are keys that tune
       into the mind of the user of the tool. You are the key to your
       consciousness. The pendulum is but a visual reminder of that. A
       pendulum is a balanced object suspended by a cord of some sort. It is
       used as an external tool. The swinging action of the pendulum combined
       with hand eye and mind coordination is what helps in tapping into the
       universe of your mind. The act of divining secrets of the unknown, and
       spiritual realm. Conditioning oneself to work with pendulums takes
       focus and concentration. Doing exercises with the pendulum can help the
       person tune into the energies within the mind which helps in the
       concentration of divining with dowsing tools and pendulums.

       Here is a simple exercise. Give your pendulum a name, hold it in your
       hands and visualize that the pendulum is an extension of your spiritual
       consciousness. Imagine it as a deacon of energy tapping into your mind,
       and feel its energy pulsate within your hands. As it grows with the
       energy of you. You feel it pulsating in your hands. While you feel it
       pulsate. Decide when its time for you and your pendulum to work
       together. Sit at a table and hold the pendulum one inch above the
       table. Work with your mind and hand to keep the pendulum suspended in
       the air motionless. Then guide the pendulum to make a series of
       patterns in rotation. Clockwise, counter clockwise, then forward and
       back, diagonal patterns, and spirals. When you feel you have achieved
       this part of the exercise then you can proceed with communicating with
       the pendulum on a more intimate level. Begin by asking the pendulum
       questions. <What is the direction for yes?< Watch the pendulum swing
       take notice of the dominate direction of the swing. (That direction is
       the answer to the question) Then Proceed to ask the pendulum <Which
       direction is no?> Watch the pendulum swing take notice of the dominate

       question) Then go from there. Learn how the pendulum and the mind
       returns its answers to you. It will communicate to you in other words.

       Pendulum boards are sometimes used with pendulums to generically obtain
       information. You can make your own pendulum board, maps, diagrams of
       divination questions and work with that as well. Rate yourself on your
       progress working with a pendulum. Perhaps its a key to discovering the
       mysteries within you.
