Message #502 - DREAMERS CAVERN(DREAM Q & A) (Received) Date: 12-01-92 20:41 From: Shawn Adams To: Dragon Subject:: A troubling dream ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @PID: RA 1.11 @MSGID: 0:0/0 50ba6b8c I had a troubling dream last night that stuck in my memory and I thought you might like to hear about it. Like most of my dreams, this one is somewhat fuzzy in my memory, but I will tell you what I can. It started rather calmly. There was a family I had never seen before eating a meal. It seemed to be evening outside of the building they were in. The sky caught my attention, for the stars were appearing and were very numerous, as though there were no pollution, or as if the building were atop a high mountain. Suddenly, there was a pounding on the door and a voice said,"Open up in the name of the corporation!" The family turned pale and the father said,"Get the children safe", and went to open the door. I heard some cries and then silence. I next saw the mother and two children huddled against a tree. They saw me as well and huddled closer to each other. I knew, somehow, that I was supposed to protect these people. I dimly recall Attempting to get them to safety, and the next thing I knew we were in, of all places, a shopping mall, still fleeing from the "corporation". The Daughter of the family was wounded here when one of the corporate mercenaries threw a knife at me from across the mall and I moved out of the way without realizing that the knife had been throw. From this point my memory jumps again(I think I came halfway awake) and the next thing I remember is being outside the mall facing a corporate exectutive who looked like a cross between the actress from the movie "Misery" and something out of my own twisted subconcious. The Family was safe somewhere and the woman was circling my and asking pointed quetions to prove that I had no legal right to defend these people while I held her away with, of all things, a shopping cart and proved that she had no moral right to persecute them. I have a sort of half-baked idea that this is something from my subconcious to the effect that moral standards should come before laws. Reply soon.
