I saw a klotch in Gardeners Eden that was made out of polyurethane sheeting. 
Seems like I ought to be able to get that relatively cheaply and make my own.
 
Does anyone here use plastic panes?

"Chapped Lips"
Put a 1/4 oz. of gum-benjamin, storax and spermaceti, some alkanet-root, a
chopped apple, bunch of bruised black grapes, a 1/4 lb. unsalted butter and 2
oz. of beeswax into a new tin saucepan.  Simmer gently till the wax, etc., is
dissolved, then strain through a linen cloth.  When cold, melt again, and
pour into small pots or boxes; or, if to make cakes, use the bottom of
teacups.
