Solar Incense With our Summer Solstice rapidly approaching, I thought I'd share this solar incense, which burns quite well. Also acts as an antidote to all the Yule stuff I've just posted in Ancient Ways :) 20 mil olibanum 5 mm length of cinnamon stick 6 juniper berries 5 drops of heliotrope oil 6 drops orange oil 5 drops cinnamon oil (optional) 2.5 mil gum benzoin 2.5 mil gum arabic 2.5 mil Australian red gum (optional) Pound juniper berries, and crush cinnamon between your fingers. Grind in the mortar until mixed. Add gum arabic, and grind to breadcrumb size. Add other gums, then oils, and grind carefully, taking care not to get carried away, and pound it all to a powder! The finished incense should have the consistency of large coarse breadcrumbs.
