LOVE POTIONS


Potions of love can bring you the one you have wanted for years on end. Many 
love potions consist of exotic wines and sweet fruit juices cooked and brewed 
with herbs that have aphrodisiactic effects.                          

Basic Love Potion:

Fill a small cauldron or pot with a handful of rosemary leaves, thirteen anise 
seeds, two cloves, three rose geranium leaves, a tablespoon of honey, and some 
red wine.  Place the cauldron over a fire and bring the brew to a boil. Strain 
the mixture through a sieve. Add some of the liquid to a glass of wine or 
passion fruit juice, and then serve it to the man or woman from whom you desire 
love.

Mandrake Aphrodisiac:

To create a powerful aphrodisiac, add a tiny particle of powdered female 
mandrake leaf to a cup of wine.  (Use caution when working with mandrake root, 
both male and female, for it is a very magickal plant and can cause a painful 
and swift death.)

Venus Aphrodisia Wine: 

Boil 2 teaspoons of passion fruit juice, two powdered juniper berries, and a 
pinch of ground dried basil in red wine while chanting:

Aphrodisiac Sachet:

During a full moon, place an herb mixture of verbena, lemon, serpentaria root, 
and elder flowers on the center of a square of red felt or cotton. Gather up the 
ends and tie them together with red wool yarn or cotton twine. Place this 
powerful sachet under your pillow, or wear it on a string around your neck. Your 
true love will arrive soon after.


Love Potion #9:

Ingredients:

2 cups apple juice
2 cups apricot nectar
2 cups ginger ale
6 red raspberries
6 strawberries
6 orange slices
2 small slices lemon peel
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon ginger
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

Mix the apple juice, nectar, vanilla, ginger, and cinnamon. Slowly add the 
ginger ale. Mix gently to retain the fizz. Pour into large glasses leaving at 
least one inch at the top. Add 3 raspberries, 3 strawberries, 1 orange slice, 
and 1 lemon slice. Interlock arms, look into each other's eyes, and drink to 
your love.
