Money Ritual Materials required: * 1 mayonnaise jar (or similar sized empty jar). Have the lid pre-painted in a Money color, like green. * 1/2 yard of green, gold, or other money related color cloth * Fabric markers, rhinestones (or other fake gems), and other decorations that make you think of money * String or ribbon (color appropriate to money, if possible) scissors (or, if you want to be really "witchy", your bolline) * Green candles (again, or any other color that is money-related) * Incense (pine, or a special "money incense". I make my own "Success Incense") Set up your circle according to your Trad. Use the green candles and incense to help set up the mood. When ready to do the magic, lay the cloth, spread out. Put the mayonnaise jar in the center of the cloth. Gather the cloth around the jar, bringing it up to cover the entire sides of the jar. Tie it around the neck with the string. Use the scissors to cut away all excess cloth from around the rim. Decorate the jar with the fabric markers, making money signs/runes. Glue on the gems. Don't forget to visualize your need, and think hard that you are willing to work for it. Ask the Gods for help in whatever manner they see fit. When you feel you have done your best to speak your need, take down the circle appropriately. Allow the candles and incense to burn themselves out. Take your jar, once it has dried and place it in a conspicuous spot, if possible. Every time you receive money, place 10% in that jar. This includes the dime you find on the sidewalk, or every paycheck you get, no matter how small or insignificant the amount seems. Do this as if it were a religious act, showing the Gods you are willing to trust them to see you through. Never, under any circumstances, count the money or even look at it once it is in the jar, until the jar is so full you cannot stuff another coin in it. When the jar is full, take it to the bank. Have them count it, if possible. If not, have a trusted friend count it and fill out the deposit slip. Resist the temptation to look at the deposit slip. Take the money to the bank and deposit it in a savings account (if possible. Some banks don't accept below a certain amount. Find those banks.) Better still, if you already have a savings account, have your friend deposit it for you. Reconsecrate the jar, and start over. This is a continuous spell. Once the jar is made, it can be used indefinitely. After three months, you may check the balance of your savings account. Do this only every three months. ***************************************************************** My jar has been with me for five years. It was originally started as a wager between me and my stepfather, who is a professional investor in real estate. In the first three months, on a hairdresser's salary, I saved over $1000, pre-paid the mortgage (which had been on the brink of foreclosure), and got a new car thanks to a "chance" deal with a customer. I owe my stepfather a dinner out, next time I go home to Florida. My stepfather, who is Christian, has no idea I turned his idea into a spell. I'm now thinking of modifying the spell to include my dreams of that house in the country...
